March 11, 2016 in KUTEL held a festive event dedicated to Taras Shevchenko

On March 11, 2016, KUTEL hosted a festive event dedicated to Taras Shevchenko, in which students and university teachers received new knowledge about the outstanding Ukrainian and unforgettable impressions of its immortal heritage.

Oleksandr Khomenko, a research associate at the Ukrainian Studies Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, was invited to participate in the event, who in a report "Shevchenko as a Trend of the Revolution" in a new way revealed the importance of a powerful talent, a multifaceted work of Taras Shevchenko as the first poet, artist and a historian of Ukraine, who made him look at his homeland as a country with its own unique history, culture and future. From an extremely insightful, sincere and interesting story, teachers and students were able to learn about the unknown facts and events from the life of Taras Grigorovich, the unique features of his poetic and artistic talent.

The festive event was attended by university students who joined the Shevchenko heritage. Thus, the student of the fourth year of the Faculty of Tourism and hotel and restaurant business, Katerina Ivanichenko devoted his poet "With Shevchenko in the heart," the freshman of the law faculty, Oksana Lohno, read a poem by T. Shevchenko "Son", and the future manager, Maxim Onashchenko, performed the original musical work on the poem "My Dumas".

Shevchenko's work inspires young people for their own poetic creativity. To the birthday of their beloved poet, students prepared a wall-paper "Student Muse", which contains poems with acutely relevant and exciting topics ("Winning!" V. Chubko, "The Dream of Peace" by N. Haletskaya, "Speaking Ukrainian" by K. Ivanichenko, landscape and intimate lyrics (O. Foy, D. Grynko, O. May, D. Goretsky, V. Gamaza).

Involvement of student youth to get acquainted with the life and activities of prominent figures of Ukraine, the conscious perception of the best examples of national culture, the development of the desire to multiply its assets contribute to the formation of readiness to take responsibility for the future of our state.
