The Department is guided by the Constitution of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education", regulations of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, KUTEL Charter and the Statute of the department.

Work of the Department is carried out in accordance with the annual plan for the school year for all types of activities: educational, methodical, scientific, organizational, educational.

The Department carries out scientific and theoretical support of international, Ukrainian, city, district events (conferences, seminars, trainings, master classes, round tables and other), which are conducted at the University.
Teaching Staff criticize textbooks, manuals, teaching materials, prepare reviews of abstracts of theses studies, or other materials received by the University.

The priority of the Department is a comprehensive study of problems of civil rights and legal security of tourism. Main results of scientific research of the faculty chair embodied in scientific publications, among them: monographs, scientific-practical commentary to the Ukrainian law on tourism, textbooks, teaching aids and educational materials, the papers published in scientific and other professional publications.

The department provides an active scientific work of students in various forms: a guide to exchange rate and master (degree) works, scientific and pedagogical practices, review of student's scientific works, the organization of the student's scientific conferences.

The Department developed packages of modern training and methodological support of all academic disciplines.

An important activity of the department is the legal education of youth. Educational work is carried out during the classroom by explaining to students the content of existing legislation, organizing students' independent work under the supervision of a teacher by solving legal disputes, individual work with students through the skills of use who use lawyers. Weighty importance in this regard is the work of the department in teaching and industrial laboratories Legal Clinic «LEGIS» KUTEL.

In its educational activities department aims at training a new generation of lawyers, who not only possess the skills and qualities, but can apply them in practice.
